Here for your benefit are links to the preeminent ADR organizations and agencies involved in mediation/arbitration within the State of Maine.

The Academy has worked cooperatively with various bodies to ensure that only the most experienced professionals are included in our member roster. Note though that there are no formal certification requirements for the private practice of mediation and arbitration in Maine.

Court System

Maine Judicial Branch - Office of Court ADR

The Office of Court Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is part of the Maine Administrative Office of the Courts. It includes the Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Service (CADRES). ADR is available in every court and in every county in Maine. The Office of Court ADR oversees and maintains eight statewide rosters of individuals who are eligible to provide ADR services to parties in different court cases. Maine Association of Mediators

The Maine Association of Mediators is a member-run organization dedicated to educating the public as to the benefits of Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) and assisting its members with their professional development. Established in 1989, MAM is a well-respected network of professionals who provide Mediation, Arbitration, Early Neutral Evaluation, and Facilitation services to Maine individuals, businesses and the court system.
