PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION

Biographical Notes:

design element
Christopher C. Dinan has tried matters to civil juries throughout Maine and he has frequently argued cases before the Maine Supreme Judicial Court, including significant tort and insurance coverage matters. The Maine Superior Courts have selected him to serve as a discovery master in complex commercial litigation and appointed him to mediate sharply disputed civil litigation.

Mr. Dinan has served as a mediator or arbitrator in over one thousand cases, beginning in 1993. In this role he has helped resolve personal injury matters, insurance coverage cases, business disputes, construction disputes and intensely emotional matters involving alleged abuses of the priest-parishioner and therapist-patient relationships.

He was recently listed in New England Super Lawyers for Alternative Dispute Resolution as one of only four Maine attorneys listed in that field. He has also been listed for the last four years in The Best Lawyers in America for ADR, and, in 2010, for personal injury litigation. That publication named him Portland's ADR attorney of the year in its 2013 edition, and Portland's personal injury defense attorney of the year in its 2014 edition.
